Second Life Showcase

So I just filled out the form to have my Second Life gallery in Caledon Cape Wrath considered for inclusion in Second Life's Showcase feature. Wish me luck. Of course I didn't see til AFTER I had included by required photo that they don't want any photoshopped text on the photos. That was not on the submission page but in another section entirely. Sigh. I can only submit twice a month - so I'll do it again next week and then start the process over in May. If anyone is so inclined to try to suggest my venue for inclusion in Showcase I would be terribly grateful and interested in your thoughts on the process of submission and the concept of showcase in general. Showcase claims it tries to keep it's list of venues to the best of the best in the various categories of SL interests but I have found that claim a little suspect. I've seen blatant marketing going on in Showcase from venues that are hardly what I consider the best of the best in SL. And yes while I do hope an inclusion in Showcase will drive traffic to my SL gallery and then hopefully to my RL website and preferrably resulting in RL sales - I can also say that I think my SL gallery has genuine in world "Showcase appeal" as I like to think I'm a prime example of a creative person and entrepreneur who is using SL and RL as companion tools in my RL business. I also give away a LOT of freebies in my store. Yay!
